Born in 1990 in Grenoble close to Lyon (France) Joan developed a passion for sports early. While pursuing his passion for tennis, he completed a bachelor’s degree in sports management and marketing and his certification as a tennis coach.

After having played a few ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) tournaments around the world and victories against players in the top 350, Joan decided to coach for private clients between two tournaments and during the holidays.

A serious injury caused Joan to stop playing tournaments. So he decided to move to St Barthelemy in the Caribbean for one year to teach tennis and to develop a private tennis coaching business. He said, “It was an amazing experience to work with interesting people from all around the world”.

All these experiences have given Joan a real passion for coaching. Joan says: “My experience as a tennis player allows me to see weaknesses quickly and adapt my tennis lessons to each person. My goal is for the player to enjoy every moment on the court and at the same time, improve their game”.

After 5 years of coaching for families, pro players and luxury resorts all around the world :

  • The Bahamas – Cat Cay
  • The Caribbean – Saint Barthelemy
  • The Maldives – Baa Atoll
  • The United States (New York, Southampton, and Texas)
  • France and Spain
