Sliman Taghzouit was born on 25 May 1987 in Lyon, the first day of Roland Garros the same year. He is the eldest son of a sibling of three boys.
Growing in a home where the values of sports were very important, he tried several activities like football, judo, handball, before falling for the game of tennis. The sport contributed significantly to his personal and physical development, and strengthened his competitive temperament.
As a high school student (literary baccalauréat), he continued his progression as a tennis player, and started coaching tennis in his local club.
Little by little, he became a professional tennis coach, leading him to pass the Tennis Coach French Federal Diploma. He then devoted himself for 6 next years in tennis clubs in Lyon and Grenoble, coaching and training tennis players, from promising local young players, to adults competing at national level in the French tennis clubs championship.
Decided to evolve, open his mind and observe other methodologies, he enjoyed the opportunity to spend 3 months in Arizona, in Itusa Academy. A place where he improved his intensity, and Spanish style way of coaching.
- He has been the sparring partner of Aravane Rezai while she was top 40 WTA, they played the USTA tour through Los Angeles to Montreal.
- He was coach to Antoine Escoffier (ranked 400 in the world) during his 2017 ATP tour in Asia.
